The house and the roof
A sandstone house on the lane that climbs to Amar Sagar Pol, and above it a terrace that faces the fort head on.
The desert
Sam Sand Dunes is forty-two kilometres west. The jeeps and the camels go out late in the afternoon, for the light.
After dark at the camp
